The Product Search Screen

Written by Spiridoula Karkani

The Product Search feature in the Megaventory mobile app enables users to quickly find and analyze product information across stock, pricing, and locations — all from a single interface. Here's a step-by-step breakdown of what you can do from this screen.

1. Viewing Product Information

Start by searching for a product by name or SKU. The Product tab displays:

  • Product ID: Internal identifier for database tracking.

  • Description: The product’s name.

  • SKU: The Stock Keeping Unit is used to manage stock references.

2. Checking Quantity Overview

Switch to the Quantity tab to explore stock details. Here, you'll see:

  • Total Inventory: The actual quantity available across all selected locations.

  • Projected Quantity: The forecasted stock level considering pending transactions.

  • Breakdown:

    • Non-Shipped Quantity in Sales Orders

    • Non-Allocated Quantity in Production Orders

    • Non-Received Quantity in Purchase Orders

    • Non-Received Quantity in Production Orders

3. Reviewing Inventory by Location

This screen displays inventory split across different locations, such as:

  • Main Warehouse

  • Secondary Store Location

Each section can be expanded for deeper insight into specific location-level availability.

4. Filtering by Inventory Locations

Tap the Locations button to customize which inventory locations are shown in the stock overview. You can:

  • Select multiple warehouses or store locations.

  • Focus on specific inventory pools (e.g., Dropshipping, Used Items, etc.).

5. Checking Client-Specific Pricing

Finally, the Price tab enables you to select a client and view:

  • Unit Price

  • Discount %

  • Tax %

  • Final Price (after applying discounts and tax)
