User Selection and Authentication

When you first open the Megaventory Mobile App, the login process has been optimized for speed, security, and ease of use. Instead of typing long credentials each time, the app uses a combination of User Selection and a Mobile PIN to authenticate users.

This system is especially efficient for businesses with multiple users needing quick access to their roles in a warehouse, store, or office environment.


Step 1: Select a User

Upon launching the app, you are presented with a list of available users associated with your Megaventory account.

Each user is displayed with:

  • A profile photo (if uploaded)

  • Their role (such as admin, sales, or procurement)

  • Their account domain (e.g., latest.megaventory.com)

To proceed:

  • Simply tap on your user profile.

If a new user needs to be added, you can tap the "Add" button at the bottom of the screen to register them. For this, you will need the API key assigned to each user you are adding. See this article on how to create a Megaventory API key.


Step 2: Enter Mobile PIN for Authentication

After selecting your user profile, you are prompted to Authenticate by entering your Mobile PIN.

The Mobile PIN is:

  • A secure 4-6 digits code

  • Can be configured in your Megaventory web account only by the account admin for each user, under Settings > Users > View Users & Permissions in the user profile settings.

  • Used to verify your identity quickly after tapping on your user icon.

Once you enter the correct PIN:

  • Tap Next to complete the login process.

  • You are then directed to the app’s Dashboard to start managing tasks, list views, sales, inventory, and more.
