This occurs when upon entering just a letter or number in a purchase or sell order the system automatically starts a new line.

That should be caused because the Barcode Option should not be checked.

To address this, first, click to "Cancel" the last open row of the Sales Order or Purchase Order, if any. Then uncheck the option 'Products are added using a barcode scanner'.
