The current planning module is provided as a pilot in beta mode and by
means of an integration with a 3rd party service. The features supported
are those described in this Knowledge Base section only - additional
functionality may be able to be provided on a case by case basis.
The bill of materials can be viewed in the “Bill of Materials” which is accessible either through the main application menu (“Item Administration” item, “Bill of Materials” sub-item) or through a drill down from the top part of the “Planning” view.
It is recommended that after the initial setup, the planner reviews the default values and adjusts them if necessary. Batch size is the quantity produced in one production batch – the system understands that production is done in complete batches. Production time is the time required to go through the entire production process – the system uses it to determine when a work order should be started in order to have the final produced quantity available at the desired time. The system also plans material replenishment such that all materials are available when the work order starts.
